Statement
I begin by laying down a foundation of quiet chaos, like clouds floating across still water. A tempo gathers. Light breaks through and condenses the haze into form. A medley of marks follows as I chisel clarity from intent to uncover harmonies within the surface.
Each artwork embodies stories nested within stories. Think of a walk through a grove, the read of nature changes with distance and depth. At arm’s length you meet breath and skin. A hand finds a shoulder, a face turns to meet the warmth of light. Step back and expand your breadth and notice a gathering, a rite, a place that remembers. Round the path’s bend, an older story may come to light.
